Privacy Policy for Electric Slider

Electric Slider (the “App”) is provided by 1313electric (“we,” “us,” or “our”). The App is a Bluetooth controller for a compatible device. It is designed to function primarily on your device without collecting personal data.

1) Summary

  • We do not collect, store, or sell your personal information on our servers.

  • Bluetooth communications occur directly between your phone/tablet and your accessory.

  • We include a Log Viewer and Crash Reporter for troubleshooting; logs and crash data are stored locally on your device and are shared with us only if you choose to send them as part of a customer support request.

  • We do not use analytics or advertising SDKs.

2) Information We Do (and Don’t) Collect

We do not collect personal information on our servers. The App does not require an account and does not automatically transmit data to us.

During normal operation, the App may temporarily process (on your device only):

  • Bluetooth data required to scan, connect, and control the accessory (e.g., device name/ID, signal strength, service/characteristic UUIDs, command/status payloads).

  • Device preferences you save for convenience (e.g., last connected device), stored locally on your device.

  • Diagnostic logs and crash data (optional) used for troubleshooting within the App. These remain on your device unless you explicitly choose to share them with our support team.

We do not collect precise location data. Note for Android users: some Android versions historically tied Bluetooth scanning to Location permissions. We do not use your location. On Android 12+, the App requests Nearby Devices/Bluetooth permissions for BLE features.

3) How We Use Information

  • To enable Bluetooth discovery, pairing, and control of your accessory.

  • To display live status and allow configuration of your device.

  • To troubleshoot issues only when you voluntarily share logs or crash data with us.

4) Data Storage & Retention

  • We do not maintain servers for the App; personal data is not stored by us.

  • Preferences and logs stored by the App remain on your device and can be removed by uninstalling the App or clearing its data.

  • If you email logs or crash reports to us for support, we will use them only to diagnose the issue and retain them only as long as necessary to provide support and meet legal obligations.

5) Sharing & Transfers

  • We do not sell or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

  • We do not transfer data internationally because the App does not operate a backend. If you email us logs/crash data, your email provider’s normal routing will apply.

6) Permissions We Request (and Why)

  • Bluetooth / Nearby Devices: Required to discover and connect to your accessory, and exchange commands.

  • Bluetooth Scan/Advertise/Connect (platform-specific): Required for BLE features only.

  • Location (older Android only, if prompted by the OS): Not used by us; may appear due to historical OS requirements. We do not collect or track location.

We do not request access to photos, contacts, microphone, or camera.

7) Security

Bluetooth connections use operating system security features (e.g., pairing/bonding and link-level encryption where supported by your accessory). Keep your device OS and firmware up to date.

8) Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

9) Your Choices

  • You can disable Bluetooth at the system level at any time.

  • You can choose whether to share logs/crash data with us when contacting support.

  • Uninstalling the App removes locally stored preferences and logs.

10) Third-Party Services

The App uses Bluetooth frameworks provided by iOS and Android. We do not integrate third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or social plugins.

11) Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect product or legal changes. We will update the “Last updated” date above and, where required, provide additional notice.
